Hand-Bound Books and Floristry
BOOKS
I am an artist based in Bath, specialising in creating beautiful handbound books with handprinted or painted hard covers. Each book is painstakingly crafted with love and attention to detail from my home studio. I use traditional techniques and materials that are kind to the environment including water based inks and recycled paper made from disposable coffee cups.
Whether you're looking for a unique gift or a lovely addition to your own collection, my handbound books are perfect for any art lover, journaller, writer. They have coptic stitched spines which allows the books to lay completely flat when open - no humps in the spine.
The pages are blank for note taking, sketching, jotting down your favourite quotations, visitors books, light watercolour and for making albums.
FLORISTRY
My greatest pleasure is to use predominantly foraged flowers and greenery from local hedgerows and flower farms, as well as my own garden. Withe these I can create beautiful, natural-looking vase arrangements and funeral flowers and endeavour to make sure everything I use is compostable and biodegradable. It’s very important that my arrangements evoke the client’s personality so I find that talking through what you want is essential to create something unique and personal to you or your loved ones.

BOOKS
I infuse my passion for printmaking, bookbinding and sustainability into every book I create. Each book is made using eco friendly water based inks, recycled coffee cup paper, tree-free paper (for example made from hemp, corn, tea and coffee), eco cotton rag and Irish linen thread.
The inspiration for my designs comes from plants in my garden, the beauty of nature and the richness of colour.

FLORISTRY
My passion for gardening and flowers started when I was very young, picking wild flowers and making endless posies for family and friends. I have now been flower arranging for over 40 years - initially using flowers grown by my late mother for friends’ weddings and using anything I could find in the hedgerows or the gardens of generous friends and neighbours! I’m very lucky nowadays as there are several flower farms near Bath, where I live, so almost everything I use is local, seasonal, with a very natural mix of foraged wild plants as well. Funeral flowers have become my mainstay after creating sheafs, sprays and wreaths for various family members and friends, all of which has inspired me to specialise in this very special type of making.
It is always an honour to work with clients to create something that really portrays the personality of their loved ones. Many clients don’t necessarily know the names of flowers but may have an idea of colour preference or shapes or like bright better than pastel or vice versa etc. There is always a way to reflect how someone feels about the sort of flowers they would most like and what will be most appropriate - that is what we achieve together.
